As an online business owner I’m still get shocked when I start thinking about all the free internet resources that are available that can help an online business owner achieve success. Why do people place these free services online? Most of the time a person will place free information or free recourses online with the intentions of up selling you in the future. But if you’re just getting started out in online business you’d be crazy not to use the free services.

If you have a business online then you must likely deal with people all over the world. Communication services such a Skype will be your best friend. Making a phone call to China from the United States is very expensive, but talking to that same person using Skype is completely free. Other communication services such as conference calls or webinars will also help your business run much more effectively.

If you have your own website then you’ll want to use Google Analytics or a similar service. Google Analytics lets you monitor your own website so you know how many people are logging into it each day and the amount of time they spend on your site. This will help you see how effective your site is and if you need to make any improvements.

There are other free sites such as Google Word Tracker that I would strongly suggest using. Google Word Tracker is a keyword site that will help you find unique keywords and phrases that aren’t being overused but frequently searched.

There are a number of different free internet sources that can be used to build your business; a lot of these sites are great for marketing. Sites such as YouTube, Ezine, Facebook, and Twitter can all be used to market your business.
