Bode Media Inc. was founded in 2003 by Sean Bonner and Jason DeFillippo as the parent company to the Metroblogging project. We firmly believe, in all seriousness, that blogs will change the world. The word ‘bode’ means “To be an omen of” and with Metroblogging, we intend to do just that. (It’s also the first two letters of the founders last names.)

Richard Ault - Chief Marketing and Products Officer
Richard Ault brings extensive online publishing, product expertise and business development experience. Before joining Metroblogging, he served as Director of Product Marketing at Technorati. As the fourth person to join the company, pre-financing, Richard worked on many facets of Technorati’s business helping it grow into what it is today. Richard also served as the Vice President of Product Management for Napster, where he was responsible for setting strategic product direction and managing product development. He also served as the interim Chief Compliance Officer at the company. Prior to Napster, Richard was Vice President of Product Marketing and Development at myplay, and previously held product management positions at Beyond.com, BuyDirect.com, snap.com, and CNET.

Sean Bonner - Chief Executive Officer
Sean Bonner is the creator of several widespread memes he has been featured in Wired, The Industry Standard, CNN, Playboy, Salon, Forbes, ZDNet, Wired News, The Register, CBS News, The New York Post, USA today, The Chicago Sun Times, The Silicon Alley Reporter, Yahoo! Magazine (Best of the Web) and more. Based in Los Angeles, he has been involved with blogs since before the term was coined, and has been called an “A list blogger” by blog tracking websites Blogebrity.com and Technorati.com. Sean also briefly worked for Weblogs, Inc launching their Unofficial Apple Computer blog before he left to focus on Metroblogging. Sean also co-owns the Los Angeles art gallery sixspace. Prior to founding Metroblogging he ran his own design firm, worked as Sr. Designer for Playboy.com and Creative Director for Victory Records.

Jason DeFillippo - Chief Technology Officer
Jason DeFillippo single-handedly created Blogrolling.com, the first web service to target blogger’s sidebars and turned into an overnight sensation garnering 2 “Bloggies” awards for “Best Weblog Directory or Update Monitor”. He eventually sold the company to Tucows Inc. in 2004. More recently Jason worked at Technorati where he oversaw the technical integration of several backend systems into their popular website. Jason is currently the VP of Technology for 8020 Publishing. The makers of JPG Magazine. Previously Jason built award-winning websites while working for companies such as, Rocktropolis Inc., Boxtop Inc. and Paramount Motion Pictures. At Paramount, and later Faction Creative he built websites for dozens of top grossing feature films.

Peter R. Hurm, Esq. - General Counsel
Peter Hurm is the Company’s legal counsel. Mr. Hurm practices in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate transactional law providing legal advice to companies in a wide variety of industries, including media and entertainment. Mr. Hurm has provided legal advice for every phase of a company’s life cycle from entity formation, to venture financings to buy-side and sell-side corporate acquisitions, as well as has provided ongoing legal consultation to numerous entrepreneurs and executives in their daily business operations. Mr. Hurm often acts as outside general counsel to a company and becomes closely involved in a company’s long-term business and strategic matters.
